tional for their
11th straight
victory. Alex
Baltimore added 8 points’ and
Brenden Carr 5. CSI was led by
Guy Carpenter with 21 points
and Ryan Konopki with 16.

Summit Pointe Builders 45
Robert Monk scored 18 points
and Eric Tucker 15 as Renais-
sance Center. Chris Mozeleski

7th grade tourney
team drops on to
Crestwood
The seventh graders lost a
close game to Crestwood 57-44
in the Wilkes-Barre area League.
Crestwood finished with a large
advantage in rebounds while
Dallas was plagued by foul prob-
lems the entire game. Eric Tuck-
er led DYB with 13 points, while
Mark Covert added 12.

The first half

Jim Brown and Jim Bopp paced
the Wolverines in the first half.
Brown finished with 9 points.
Scott Daube scored his 4 points
in the first half and controlled the
boards for WVAS. In the second
half the duo of Scott Skammer,
17 points, and Bryan Weaver, 8
points, outshot a hot D.J. Berley,
who finished with 20 points for
WVAS. Chris Daily and Tyler Pat-
ton controlled the boards for the
Wolverines in the second half.
Dailey also chipped in with 5
points. Alex Slocum had several
key steals and added 4 points for
WVAS.

Josh Backes netted 21 points
in Dino's Pizza victory. Kyle Piaz-
za scored 9, Peter Reccitta netted
6 points and Ryan McAndrews
chipped in 2. Steve Meskers

Gators J.V. team 43-31. The
Gators were led by T. J. Stepan-

The Varsity Gators beat Pope
John Paul 58-37. The Gators
were led by Chris DeRojas 19
points and Brendan Delaney 10
points.
In the Solomon League, the
Gators beat Plains 39-30. The
Gators were led by Chris DeRo-
jas 18 points an Jeff Clemente
10 points. The defense was led
by Keith Hizney. The Gators are
5-1 and are tied for first with
Wyoming Valley West.
Graham Speace scored four goals in four games as the Pocono Pi-
rates Pee Wee A ice hockey team won three games and skated to a
i tie last week.
© Speace scored the only goal‘in a 1-1 tie at Ithaca, then recorded
two assists in the Pirates’ 7-5 win over Bristol. He and Adam Kar-
waski scored goals in the next game, a 3-2 victory over the New Jer-
sey Colonials. The week's play ended with a 3-1 win over the Ty-
phoons of Delaware, with Speace scoring twice.

Jeff Dickson hit a three-point-
er at the buzzer to send the
game into overtime. Paul McCue
paced the Mountaineers with 31
points, including four 3-point
shots. Dickson and Robbie My-
ers finished with eight points
each.
