cently at Frances Slocum State
Park.

55-Alive courses at
oYlountain Grange
Mountain Grange #567,
Carverton, is planning three
.AARP 55-Alive Courses from 1-5
p.m on the following dates: July
25, August 22 and 29, and Sep-
tember 19 and 26. Each course
consists of a total of eight hours.
Therefore, each date will be four
hours each. The cost is $10 per
person.
Upon
completion of the
Bourse, each Person receives a
certificate. The certificate can be
sent to your automobile insur-
ance carrier. Call your insur-
ance agent to determine exactly
what percentage discount will be
given. Usually the reduction is
5-15 percent.
You must register prior to the

not meet on Thursday, July 4.
Meeting will be held at 11:30

of 1947 sets reunion
The Kingston Township Class
of 1947 will hold a Class re-

At 7 p.m. Saturday, July 13
there will be an informal gather-
ing at the Grotto at Harveys
Lake for a Pizza Party.
On Sunday, July 14 there will

will be from 6-7 p.m. Dinner will
be at 7:15 p.m.

‘Donuts and Discussion’ off to a good start
The fourth annual series of “Donuts and Discussion” meetings has begun in the children’s room at the
Back Mountain Memorial Library. On June 18, 16 of the 19 participants who had signed up discussed
“Bud, Not Buddy,” the 2001 Newberry Award winner. and then enjoyed their doughnut treat.

Hoover family reunion to be held July 20
The Hoover Family Reunion will be held at noon on Saturday,
July 20, at the Family Life Center, RR4 Dallas, located across
from the Outlet Free Methodist Church on Outlet Road approx. 3-
4 miles from the intersection of State Route 118 and Outlet Road.

Huntsville UMC to welcome new pastor
The Huntsville United Methodist Church will hold a reception
immediately following the service of worship on Sunday July 14
to welcome their new pastor Pastor W. (Jim) Pall and family.
Pastor Pall will begin his duties at the church July 7, and the
morning worship time has changed to 10 a.m., starting July 7.
Lake Twp. recycling July 13
The voluntary recycling drop-off center for Lake Township will
be accepting items on the second Saturday of each month. The
next opening is from 10 a.m. to noon July 13 at the township
building on Rt. 29. The following items may be dropped off: Alu-
minum & bi-metal cans, clear, brown & green glass, plastic #1
and #2 only. No motor oil containers or scrap aluminum can be
accepted. This month newspaper will be collected at the same
time. Pack tight in paper bags with the glossy inserts removed.

TUESDAY: Stuffed green pep-
