Bennett, 86, of Noxen, died Tuesday June 4, 2002 at Tyler Memorial Hospi- tal, Tunkhannock. Born in Bloomsburg, he was a son of the late Clyde and Hazel (Morris) Bennett. He lived in Noxen for the past 60 years. He graduated from Forty Fort High School in 1934. Before re- tiring, he worked for Atlas Chain, West Pittston, for 20 years. He was a member of Noxen United Methodist Church. He was a member of the George M. Dallas Lodge #531, F & AM, Caldwell Consis- tory, Bloomsburg, and served as president of the Orcutt’s Grove Cemetery Association. He was also a Little League coach, Boy Scout leader, Noxen Town- ship Supervisor, and treasurer of the Noxen Credit Union. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Ruth A. Patton; son, Leo M.; and brother, Har- ry Nella Rae Kocher, 65, of RR. 1, Black Walnut section of Laceyville, died Friday June 7, 2002 at Com- munity Medical Center, Scranton. Born April 15, 1937, in Bing- hamton, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Manley and Kathleen (Carlucci) Smith. She held many jobs, but for the last few years she was a homemaker. She was a member of Mehoopany Baptist Church, and attended Braintrim Baptist Church, Laceyville. She was preceded in death by a twin sister, Ella “"Pee-Wee” Wilcox, and a brother, Manley “Tinker” Smith. Surviving are her husband of nine years, Levo G.; daughter, Nel- la Cosilmon, McDonough, N.Y; sons; Carl Wilcox Jr. and Eric, both of Black Walnut; Charles A. Headman, Centermoreland; James Gregory, Glen Lyon; and Stanley Gregory, Harveys Lake; 12 grandchildren; sister, Kathleen Bixby, Harveys Lake; brother, Harry Smith, Harveys Lake; sever- al nieces and nephews; step- daughter, Lori Frevold, Newport Riche, Fla.; and stepson; Jeffery, Palm Harbor, Fla. She was a member of Holy Family Church, Luzerne, and a member of the Shavertown Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She had lived in Trucksville since 1955.
