DYB 6th grade boys tournament team
completes season at 18-8
The Dallas Youth Basketball 6th grade boy's tournament team re-
cently completed their season with an overall record of 18-8. They
finished in second place in the Sunday Lehman-Jackson league, and
took second in the D.Y.B sixth grade spring tournament.
The team recently competed in the Catholic Youth Center and Val-
ley West sixth grade tournaments. At the C.Y.C., Dallas opened with
a 52-21 win over St. Boniface. Mike Kravitsky led DYB with 14
points, and Michael Gross added 12. They next defeated St. Hed-
wigs 36-17. Mark Covert’s had eight points to lead DYB in the win.
Fairview eliminated Dallas by a score of 36-22. Kyle Arnaud and
Peter Steve each scored four points.
At Valley West, Sacred Heart edged D.Y.B. 40-36. Eric Tucker
scored eight points in the game. In the second, DYB edged Valley
West 40-37. Kyle Arnaud scored 13 points. DYB was eliminated by
Dunmore 60-33. Doug Harding scored six points to lead DYB.

set a personal best in the
javelin, placing first. Chuck
Suppon placed first in the shot
put, as well as second in the 100
and third in the 200. David

NANTICOKE - A solid team ef-
fort pushed Dallas past Nanti-
coke. A.J. Harris went 3-for-4,
while Ryan Gryskevicz went 3-
for-5. Adam Tkaczyk, Jeremy
Harris, and Mike Smith each
went 2-for-4, including a double
for Tkaczyk.

The Back Mountain Cyclones
their second game April 21, beating Lower
Valley Breakers 2-1. The Cyclones dominat-
ed, however the Breaker’s goaltender had a
superb game, shutting down most
