Wycallis students’ holiday shopping
Students from Wycallis Elementary School recently participated in
the annual PTO-sponsored Holiday Gift Store. Lori Monk,
chairperson for the event, pointed out that the Holiday Store was
not a fundraising event, but instead was a service provided by the
PTO to help students shop for all their family members at prices
ranging from 25 cents to $6. Volunteer mothers wrapped all gifts for
the children. The Holiday Store also provided an opportunity for
learning about economics and basic math. Mrs. Kosak's 4th graders
arrived with calculators to keep track of their spending. Shown
above are 2nd-grade students with their bags, which were provided
by Kauffman'’s Department Store. From left to right: Jesse English,
