grade class of the Old Goss
School?
Doris Kitchen, who was Doris
Wandell when this photo
page was published, is
hoping to fill in the blanks in
her memory. She said the
teacher was Miss Ruggles,
who later married Mr. Mosier,
also a teacher. The school
building sat where the Dallas
fire hall is now located, at the
intersection of East Center
Hill Rd. and Church St.

Book Club
to begin
Librarian's report During
January and Februry, classes will
be held for the staff at the
Osterhout Library to prepare them
for an upgrade of our circulation
system. It will change from using
the keyboard for functions to a
mouse-driven environment.
Joann Ennis and her group of
quilters will begin meeting regu-
larly in the community room. They
are making a quilt to donate to the
auction.
Representatives from the Times
Leader/Tudor Book Club con-
tacted the children’s librarians to
help publicize a Mother-Daugh-
ter Book Club which will start in
January. Flyers were provided
and are available. The club is for
girls in grades 3 to 6. If a club is
formed, the participants may use
the local library as a meeting place.
Statistics for the month of
December include the following:
total circulation, 4,252; books
added, 279; new borrowers, 27;
active borrowers, 13,399.

Leader/Tudor Book Club will
present a reading of her work by
Pat Cunningham Devoto, author
of “My Last Days as Roy Rogers,”
January 10, at 7 p.m. in the Per-
forming Arts Center of Wyoming
Seminary.
Story hours The story hours
for toddlers have been filled for
+ the series starting the week of
CRYSTAL
Feburary 5. At this writing, there
are a few openings left in the
hours for 3-to-5-year-olds. Call
the library, at 675-1182, to in-
quire about what times are still
