Plymouth 11, Back Mt. 4 Plymouth ousted Back Mt. from Legion Baseball playoffs with a 11-4 upset July 20 in Wilkes- .Barre. Jon Habrack and Ed Piekara each sliced two-run singles, in the second and fourth innings respectively, to give Back Mt. an early advantage before Ply- mouth exploded for six runs in the bottom of the fourth to claim the victory. Plains 8-9 Year Old All- Star Tournament Back Mountain National 35, Parsons 4 Back Mountain overwhelmed Parsons 35-4 in the first round of the Plains 8 and 9 Year Old All- Star Tournament in a game called after four innings. Jeff Clemente, Greg Harris and Dylan Seeley each smacked three hits to lead Back Mountain. Chris DeRojas, Ryan Konopki, Mike Prater and Mike Stolarick chipped in with two hits apiece. Prater picked up a double and Seeley had a triple. Steve Cornia and Harris each scored five runs while John Giampietro, DeRojas and Prater scored four runs apiece. Prater and Seeley had six RBIs apiece while Konopki picked up five RBIs. Konopki pitched the first two innings for Back Mountain, strik- ing out six. Giampietroand Cornia pitched in relief with Giampietro striking out one and Cornia strik- ing out two. Northwest 9-10 Year Old All-Star Tournament Back Mountain National 15, Forty Fort 11 Back Mountain National ad- vanced to the finals of the North- west 9 and 10 Year Old All-Star Tournament behind the strong relief pitching of David Harding and a potent offensive attack. Harding struck out seven in four innings of relief. Ron Shiner led Back Mountain with three hits, including a triple. Nate Carr, Gracjan Kraszewski and Alan Sheridan each smacked two hits with Carr picking up a triple and adouble and Kraszewski getting a double. Carr, Shiner and Mike Clemente each scored three runs.
