Frances Slocum Park offers

The popular Youth Environ-
‘mental Learning Series will be
conducted once more at Frances
‘Slocum State Park. These pro-
grams run for nine hours over a
three day period. The programs
are set to run as follows: please
specify which session you prefer

All of the programs are free, but
class size is limited. All partici-

Recovery Inc. to hold panel May 20 & 27
“May is Mental Health Month and Recovery, Inc. self help mental
health will hold panel demonstrations for the public at the Shavertown
United Methodist Church, 163 N. Pioneer Ave., on May 20 and May 27
from 7 to 9 p.m.
So many people suffer from depression, panic attacks, obsessions,
stress, anxiety, fears etc. and don’t know where to go for help.
By demonstrating Recovery, Inc.’s method of Will Training, people
who attend will observe how other people from all over the world have
received help just as those attending Shavertown’s meeting.

ship Municipal Building on Cen-
ter Street in Shavertown at 7:30

Siren test to take place May 20
Superintendent David Larkins announced that the State Correc-
tional Institution at Dallas will conduct a “Siren Test” on Wed., May 20
at 12 noon. : :
The purpose is to test emergency equipment used to notify the
community in the event of an escape or other emergency. No public
action is required. any phone calls related to the siren test should be
withheld during the testing period.
