VNA flu vaccine not recalled The Visiting Nurse Association/Home-Health Services wishes to inform the public that flu shots given at their 1996 flu clinics are not part of the nationwide vaccine recall. Concerns regarding flu vaccine effectiveness have been raised after media reports of weak vaccines. “Flu vaccines are produced by a variety of pharmaceutical companies,” reports Ann Russin, Director of Home Health Services. “Our flu vaccine supplier is Wyeth. We have confirmed with Wyeth that it is not involved in the recall.” Any person with questions may call Tiffany Phillips the VNA Community Outreach Nurse at 820-7888 Ext. 123.
