Barilla is a junior at Bishop
O'Reilly High School, Kingstonand
has been studying art since the
third grade with Sue Hand. He
has also studied with Andrew
Johnson, John O'Connell, Chris-
topher Kuhar and the Bishop
O'Reilly art department. He has
been featured in many newspa-
per stories and a segment on the
local Catholic television station.
He is a teaching assistant at Sue
Hand's Imagery and resides in

Halloween party Oct. 26 at Gate of Heaven
Girl Scoul Cadette Troop 677 from Gate of Heaven School, Dallas will
sponsor a Halloween party for children up to 10 years of age, at the
school gym Oct. 26, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
‘Admission is $5 per child and adults are free which includes a hot
dog drink and chips, four tickets to play games and a professional

5K ‘Chidren are encouraged to dress in their Halloween costumes.

Auction benefits Gate of Heaven School
The Eleventh Annual Fall Auction sponsored by Gate of Heaven
“School's PTG will be held Oct. 19 at the school on Machell Ave.,
~ Dallas.) Doors open at 6 p.m. for preview. The auction begins at
7 p.m. Admission is $5.00 per person - $7.00 per couple.
Beverages, hors d'oeuvres and desserts will be served.

October is Adopt-a-Dog Month

- Dallas Agway and the SPCA will host a Halloween costume contest for pets
Oct. 19, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Agway on Rte. 415. Prizes in 13 categories
will be awarded by judges Keith Martin, Dawn Timmeny and Carol and
Vince Sweeney. The SPCA will also hold a rabies clinic Oct. 26, from 1 to 4
© p.m. at the shelter. Shots are $5.

Christine Shea Caputo is
engaged to Jerome Gilbert
Mr. and Mrs. A. Richard Caputo of Shavertown announce the
engagement of their daughter, Christine Shea, to Jerome Brian
Gilbert, son of Mrs. John C. Wynne and Dr. David N. Gilbert of
Portland, Oregon.
Ms. Caputo is a fifth grade teacher in the Denver, Colorado
school system. She is a graduate of Wyoming Seminary, Kingston
and earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science from
Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire.
Gilbert is president of Mile High Incentive Group, Denver. He
is a graduate of Beaverton High School, Beaverton, Oregon, and
a magna cum laude graduate from Dartmouth College, where he
earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science and was
elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
A May wedding is planned.
