Physics is his favorite subject
in the classroom and the honor
student will further his education
- at the college level next year. At
the present time he’s still decid-
ing on a school and field of study.
Because of his productivity in the
classroom and an extremely high
score on the SAT test he'll have
little trouble getting accepted. In
the meantime he's thinking about
all of the great times he’s experi-
enced on the high school level.

Jen Smith honored at Misericordia
Former Lake-Lehman High School softball standout Jen Smith has
been named Co-Athlete of the Month of April at College Misericordia.
Smith, who was honored for the second consecutive month, hit .455
with 33 runs scored and 39 RBI's in 20 games during the month and
had five doubles, three triples and five homeruns during that span.
Golf tournament May 28
Four Seasons Golf Club, Exeter, will hold a Captain and Crew Golf
Tournament May 28.
Tee times will be taken starting at 7 a.m. The $25 per person costs
includes 18 holes, meal, beverages and prizes for flight winners and
contests held on the course.

RED SOX 7 - WHITE SOX 1
April Naugle tossed a no-hitter striking out 15 and walking only
three as the Red Sox defeated the White Sox 7-1. Amanda Stolarickand
April Naugle had two hits each for the Red Sox with Sarah Armand,
Megan Tribendis, and Kristen Lipski coming up with singles. Katie 3)
Guntli scored the lone run for the White Sox.
RED SOX 22 - CARDINALS 5
Amanda Stolarick went three for four with a double and April Naugle
had three hits including two doubles to lead the Red Sox over the
Cardinals. Rachel Kukosky went two for three with a double and Carla
Chiampi and Sarah Armanda had two hits apiece. Meaghan Peeler and
Courtney Beardsworth each got hits for the Cardinals. Sarah Armand
pitched a complete game for the win.

Audubon Society's dinner meeting May 17

The Greater Wyoming Valley Audubon Society will hold its annual |
dinner meeting May 17 at the Convention Hall in Pittston. The after
dinner speaker will be Hope Anwyll, a well known naturalist and
founder of the Pennsylvania Raptor and Wildlife Association, who will
speak on “Sharks, Snakes, and Bats”.
Cash bar opens at 6 p.m. Dinner will begin at 7 p.m. :
The cost is $17 for Audubon Society members and $20 for non-
