Mock election
The students of the Dallas Middle School recently participated in the
presidential election process through their social studies class. The
election took place using a voting machine Supplied by the Luzerne
County Election Bureau.
The overwhelming winner in the presidential race was Ross Perot.
The students correctly selected five winning candidates out of the
seven offices on the ballot.

Dallas Middle School Band program
The Dallas Middle School Band program is currently enjoying a
banner year. This year the band is approximately 250 members
strong. There are three bands in the middle school, sixth grade
band, a seventh and eighth grade band and a jazz ensemble.

Physics Honor Society inductees
The National Society of Sigma Pi Sigma, a Physics Students Honor
Society, recently inducted 23 Wilkes University science majors into
the chapter. As part of the induction program, Neal B. Abraham,
professor of physics at Bryn Mawr College, presented a lecture if
“Chaotic Determinism.”
