MR. AND MRS. GUY LOMASCOLO
‘Couple celebrates first
wedding anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Guy Lomascolo of Kingston recently celebrated their
first wedding anniversary.
They were married November 9, 1991 in the Courtdale United
Methodist Church, Courtdale. The Reverend Guy Burt officiated.
Mrs. Lomascolo, the former Christine L. Cavalari, is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Cavalari of Trucksville. Mr. Lomascolo is the
son of Alex and Theresa Lomascolo of Harveys Lake.
The bride chose Lisa Minnelli of Wyoming, aunt of the bride, as
‘matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kim Beiter of Shavertown, friend
of the bride and groom, and Lynn Cavalari of Kingston, cousin of the
bride. Flower girls were Stacey Genelow of Wapwallopen and Shan-
non Stackhouse of Athens, both cousins of the bride.
The groom chose his brother, Alex Lomascolo of Wyoming to be his
best man. Ushers were Edward Cavalari of Trucksvilie, brother of the
bride, and and Steve Finn of Kingston, cousin of the bride.
An evening reception was held at the Luzerne Borough Fire Hall,
| Luzerne. The bride was honored at a shower hosted by her bridal
| attendants.
Mrs. Lomascolo is a graduate of Dallas Senior High School,
Luzerne County Community College and attended College Misericor-
dia. She is the proprietor of Squeaky Clean Housekeepers.
~~ Lomascolo is a graduate of Lake-Lehman High School and Luzerne
| County Community College. He is employed by Friedman Electric,
Wilkes-Barre.
Te couple spent their honeymoon in the Poconos and Niagara
Falls.

The Wyoming Historical and
Geological Society announces its
‘third Chrismas Musical History,
“The Night Before Christmas at
Swetland Homestead, hosted by
Clement Moore Mouse”, Decem-
ber 3-6, 10-13, 7-9 p.m. nightly
and 2-4 p.m. Saturdays and Sun-
days, at Swetland Homestead, 885
Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming.
Previous living histories per-
formed at Swetland Homestead by
the itinerant stage, a professional
production company, include “The
Legends of Saint Nicholas”, “An
Old Fashioned Wedding", “Laven-
der, Old Lace and Yesteryears” and
Dickinson retires from Nesbitt
Last Summer's “The Ghosts of
Swetland Homestead".
“Lavender” recently received an
Award of Merit for excellence in
programming from the Pa. Federa-
tion of Museums and Historical
organizations.
Featuring a talented cast, an
historically accurate script, color-
ful costuming, seasonal music and
dance, the presentation will in-
volve the audience and transport
visitors back in time to experience
history “first hand”.

Hospital
Helen Dickinson, R.N., was honored by Nesbitt Memorial Hospital
on the occasion of her retirement after 29 years of service in the
Obstetric Department's Nursery. She currently resides in Dallas with
her husband, Thomas.

Volunteer needed for senior group
The Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Luzerne/Wyoming Coun-
ties needs a volunteer receptionist for a busy Back Mountain office. The
duties will include light clerical work and answering the phone. A
weekly commitment of three or four hours is requested. RSVP volun-
teers must be age 60 or older. For more information, call Anne or Bill
at 287-5949. RSVP is sponsored by the Luzerne/Wyoming Counties
Bureau for the Aging.
