The budget's first reading was at the November 17 meeting and the | figures will probably change by the + second reading. “We have a $104 surplus, but ~ the figures are subject to change i. by the second reading as we go © over the line items,” Boice said. ¢ The. borough expects .an ‘ estimated revenue of $554,850, an increase of $52,572 from 1992 |. according to Boice. Harveys Lake |i. expects expenditures of $568,080 compared to 1992 expenses of $539,320. Although the total expenditures compared to revenue suggests a deficit, Boice said that there will be no new taxes and the borough's finances are in good shape. “The proposed budget shows a deficit of $13,230, but in reality, the carryover from liquid fuels money will add about $35,000 to the budget,” Boice said. Money which is carried over from the previous year cannot be added to the budget, Boice said. “The liquid fuel money is designated to only be spent on liquid fuel and cannot be spent on anything else,” Boice said.
