Carpenter, D.M.D., F.A.G.D., of Forty Fort, a member of Dental Associates, recently participated in a week- end seminar entitled “Straight Wire Orthodontics Update.” It was held in Dallas, Texas, and conducted by the American Orthodontic Society, Inc., a national non-profit educational organization located in Dallas. The course included fourteen hours of lectures to provide advanced principles of the Straight Wire Technique, a mod- ern, clinically proven method of straightening teeth. Clinician for the course was Dr. Robert Gerety, a nationally known instructor. The course informa- tion and case studies are designed to enable professional practitioners to improve diagno- sis and treatment of dental pro- blems of patients requiring orthodontic treatment. The society’s 2,000 members are primarily general dentists and pediatric dentists who also offer orthodontics in their practices. Dr. Carpenter is a graduate of King’s College, and received a D.M.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1972.
