Ad- » vanced Laboratory Services is a corporate affiliate of Rural Health Corporation which provides clini- cal laboratory testing throughout hi Luzerne and Wyoming counties. A 17-year Wilkes-Barre General Hospital employee, Splendido holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Wilkes College and has com- pleted post-graduate studies at both Wilkes and Lehigh Univer- sity. As the hospital's director of marketing, Splendido is respon- sible for managing lab contracts with physicians, community members and healthcare pro- videers. He was instrumental in establishing Wilkes-Barre General as a reference laboratory facility throughout the 13 counties of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Splendido is a member of the Falls Lions Club, the American Society of Medical Technology, an associate member of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and coach of Forty Fort Little League team. Krivenko, M.D., of Dallas, has been appointed Wilkes- Barre General Hospital's Vice Presi- dent of Medical Affairs, Acting Chief Executive Officer and Vice Presi- dent Patricia Finan has an- nounced. A board certified family practi- tioner, Dr. Krivenko previously served as executive director of Community Medical Care, Inc, a subsidiary of Community Medical Center, Scranton. Prior to holding that position, Dr. Krivenko oper- ated an active family medicine practice in Dallas for 17 years. He also served as director of physician affairs for Pennsylvania Voluntary Hospitals of America and as managing physician of Health- net of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Dr. Krivenko currently serves as the medical director of the North- cast Chapter of the ALPHA Pre- ferred Provider Network. . Dr. Krivenko received a Bache- lor of Arts Degree in Biology from Wilkes University, his Medical Degree from Temple University and a Masters of Health Service Ad- ministration from Wilkes Univer- sity. As Vice President of Medical Affairs, Dr. Krivenko will admini- ster the hospital's Medical Affairs Department and will be respon- sible for administrative medical matters within the 447-bed facil- ity.
