Harveys Lake, died Sept. 18, 1991,
at the Veterans Administration
Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Harveys Lake, she was
the daughter of the late Walter and
Isetta Williams Sorber. She was a
resident of Harveys Lake for most
of her life and was employed as a
‘travel agent by the Tobyhanna
Depot for 18 years and later

Letha G. Miscavage, 80, of
Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was
the daughter of the late Emmett
and Emma Balliet Allen. She re-
sided in Meeker for 20 years, prior
to moving to the Meadows Nursing
Center, five years ago. She was a
member of the Calvary Bible
Church, Wilkes-Barre.
She was preceded in death by
her husband, Anthony; brothers,
Justin and Lawrence.
Surviving are daughters, Mrs.
John (Shirley) Sulcoski, Wilkes-
Barre; Mrs. Frank (Carol) Snyder,
Meeker; four grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren.

Mary E. Meyers, 70, of the
Meadows Apartments, Dallas, died
Sept. 21, 1991, at Nesbitt Memo-
rial Hospital, Kingston.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was
the daughter of the late Harry and
Lena Broghammer Searfoss.
She was employed for a number
of years by the Natona Mills, Dal-
las and was later employed as a
unit secretary at Nesbitt Memorial
Hospital, retiring inJanuary, 1990.
She was a member of Prince of
Peace Episcopal Church, Dallas.
She was preceded in death by
her husband, H. Elwood, sisters,
Sophie Kocher, Catherine Bragg,
Margaret Heller and Helen Oliver;
brother Charles Searfoss.
Surviving are a daughter, Carole
Schaffer, Dallas; son, Elwood,
Mountaintop; four grandchildren;
sisters, Claire Meyers, Trucksville;
Alberta Lancaster, St. Petersburg,
Fla.; brother, George Searfoss,
Shavertown.

BLODWEN OWENS
Blodwen C. Owens, 82, of Hunt
Street, Dallas, died Sept. 17, 1991,
at home.
Born in Johnstown, she was the
daughter of the late Richard and
Sarah Williams Owens. A gradu-
ate of Coughlin High School, she
had resided in Morristown, N.J.,
prior to moving to Dallas, 23 years
ago. Before retiring, she was em-
ployed as a secretary by the F.M.
Kirby family.
Surviving is a niece.

rial Park, Dallas.
EUGENE SPACE
Eugene J. Space, 37, of Wyo-
ming Ave., Exeter, died Sept. 20,
1991, at home.
Born in Kingston, he was the
son of William and Margaret
Zavada Space.
He was preceded in death by a
brother, Thomas, on Aug. 22, 1991.
Surviving in addition to his
parents, are a brother, William,
Dallas Twp.; sister, Marilyn Jacobs,

Dr. David Fields to address
Unitarian congregation Sept. 29
Dr. David Fields will be the
speaker at the Sunday service of
the Unitarian Universalist Congre-
gation of Wyoming Valley on Sep-
tember 29 at 10 a.m. The congre-
gation, newly formed this fall, meets
every Sunday in the Montessori
School on Market and Maple
Streets, Kingston. The public is
welcome. Dr. Fields' topic will be’
“Succoth: also a holy time for
Unitarian Universalists.”
Dr. Fields and his family moved
to the Wyoming Valley from Bos-
ton last year in order for him to
establish a medical practice in
geriatrics. His geriatrics training
took place at Harvard Medical
School. He also is a graduate of the
Medical School of the University of
Virginia. David and Jean Fields
and their two children live in Shav-
ertown. Jean Fields is a member of
the board of trustees of the new
Unitarian Universalist Congrega-
tion.
