Comm Center may move
By ERIC FOSTER
Post Staff
The Back Mountain Communi-
cations Center Board is planning
to move the Communications
Center from the Dallas Township
Municipal Building to an unused
garage area at Nesbitt Hospital's
Medical Center on Route 118 in
Lehman Township.
The reason for the move, ac-
cording to Kingston Township
Police Chief and Communications
Board Chairman Paul Sabo], is the
lack of space in the Dallas Town-
ship building.
Sabol said that the possibility of
moving is still in the planning
stages. No contract has been made,
and a date has not been set for the
move.
In preliminary discussions at
the Communications Center Board
meeting on September 10, ithe
Medical Center said it would not
charge any rent, and would .re-
model the area used by the’ Cént-
munications Center.
The Communications Center
would be responsible for utilities
and wiring the area. The Commu-
nications Center is also investigat-
ing the cost of a tower to put radio
antennas on, and a natural gas
back-up generator.
The board also discussed the
difficulty of finding homes without
house numbers during an emer-
gency and encouraged residents, fo
put up numbers.
“There's a sign in by the King:
ston Borough Building that says I If
we can't find you, we cart help
you,” said Sabol. )

an R-1 area.”
Bob Bayer, chairman of the
zoning board, said that his board
went by the book and their decision
was that the five men living in the
home comprise a family.
Robert Frey, who lives across
from the group home agrees with
the supervisors.
“The Institute for Human Re-
sources receives money and board
to operate the home which makes it
a business. Robert Kotsul, man-
ager of Human Resources, should
have gone before the board and
asked for a variance before putting
the people in the house instead of
moving them in without permis-
sion,” Frey said last week. “Ordi-
nances are enacted to control the
various areas such as residential
and other zoning. What good are
they if people ignore them.
“The people living in the area of
Church Street have nothing against
the men. They do believe if one
business is allowed to open in the
R-1 area what is to stop other indi-
viduals from doing the same thing,”
said Frey.
A next door neighbor who asked
toremain anonymous said the men
living there are no problem at all
but she hates to think it might
open the door to other businesses
moving in.
Wagner said the supervisors will
