ming Valley, adjacent to Mercy
Hospital, will sponsor a prayer
group meeting on Wednesday April
13, from 7-8:15 at the Center,
located at 50 Roosevelt Terrace,
Wilkes-Barre.
Conducted by Pastoral Leader,
Rev. Joseph Streit of Mercy Hospi-
tal, the weekly prayer group con-
sists of Biblical readings and dis-
cussion, and a sharing of ideas and
feelings to help provide a founda-
tion for support and interaction.
Each weekly meeting is available
to interested patients, family mem-
bers and friends.

Jackson Twp. Volunteer Fire Com-
pany will meet Wednesday, April

their annual family style Chicken

copal Church of Dallas will hold an
“Offering of Letters” on Sunday,
April 17, at the 10 a.m. service to
urge Congressman Paul Kanjorski
and Senators Arlen Specter and
John Heinz to increase U.S. support
for projects which benefit women
in development.
The Prince of Peace Church’s
“Offering of Letters’ will be
among hundreds of letter collec-
tions conducted this year in support
of Women in Development pro-
grams. These ‘Offerings’ are part
of a national campaign by Bread
for the World, the national Chris-
tian citizens’ anti-hunger move-
ment. The public is invited to
attend this special ‘‘Offering of
Letters’ service. For more informa-
