Her mother; Maryan Dailey is having a lot of anxious moments as she approaches the date of departure but Arline assures her ‘all will be fine.” ‘0- THE KATYL’S TV STORES held their annual Christmas party on Sunday afternoon at Genetti’s Best Western in Wilkes-Barre. Employees and spouses enjoyed a lovely dinner and good time celebrating a success- ful year, the opening of a Katyl’s Store in Tunkhannock in 1986 and welcoming the Christ- mas season. If you live on that street and hear lots of laughing, crazy people, you’ll know its that gang from Evangelical Free Church having fun. OUR SYMPATHY is extended to the Yurko family of Sweet Valley on the passing of their mother, Mrs. Stasia Yurko this past week. Joe Yurko, owner of Sweet Valley Service Station, is a son of hers and we are sorry for their loss at this time. -0- SOME PEOPLE are so lucky! Cathy, Ill omit her last name so she isn’t bugged with calls, a former instructor at Great Beginnings Fitness Center and an employee at Lehman High School made a phone call to a local radio station within nine minutes, as she was told to do if she was listening and won $5,000 cash. Needless to say she is no longer an instructor at the fit- ness center, she now has a center of her own. Cathy used her winnings to furnish a room with all that equipment most of us dream about having. Congratulations Cathy! We are so happy for you. RUSS AND CAROLINE HAVEY, Demunds Road, Dallas, got an early Christmas present. I’m told it’s a beautiful new Honda Accord with a sun roof. -0- PENN STATE STUDENTS next to Valentine’s Toys. If you want a real live tree and want to help the Lehman ‘Campus Penn State kids before one of them gets killed flagging down traffic, stop and buy a tree. I’m told first hand they are beautiful trees and the price is right. -0- WALTER HOOVER is a patient in the Nesbitt Hospital again. Mr. Hoover has been in ill health for sometime. It’s so nice to meet people on the street who recognize me and say “Oh, I always read your column.” Holiday greetings also go to our staff at The Dallas Post. I have been with the paper for 10 years, and believe me these folks are a great bunch of people to work with. Also special greetings to my little students at Trinity Nur- sery School. The joy of the Christmas season really comes to life when you work with these special little people. Their eyes light up when telling about deco- rating their Christmas tree, talking to Santa, or when they are enjoying the beautiful creche that is set up in the Trinity United Presbyterian Church. So Merry Christmas, my little ones. whom God has richly blessed season to you. MUSIC AND SINGING is an important part of any Christ- mas celebration.
