Born in Parsons, he attended Kingston Township schools and was a Navy veteran of World War II. Prior to retirement in 1975, he was employed as a long distance truck driver. He was a well-known motorcycle enthusi- ast. Surviving are a son, Jack B. Jr., Wilkes-Barre; daughter, Mrs. Karen Glatz, Wyoming; five grandchildren. O’Hara, of 156 Beech St., Shavertown, died November 23 in the Nesbitt Memorial Hospital, Kingston, following a two week illness. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he had resided in Shavertown since 1951. He was employed by the Faith Shoe Co. and later by the Dallas School District. Dorrance (Bud) Mekeel, 77, of Market St., Lehman, died November 23, in the Nesbitt Memorial Hospital, Kingston, where he had been a patient for three days. A lifelong resident of Lehman, he attended Lehman schools and, prior to retiring in 1972, had been employed as a truck driver by the Midwest haulers. After retiring, he had been employed as a bus driver by the Emmanuel Bus Lines, serving the Dallas School District. Michael Traver Michael Traver, 82, of RD 1, Noxen (Stull Road) was pro- nounced dead on arrival at Tyler Memorial Hospital, Tunk- hannock, on November 21, fol- lowing an apparent heart attack. He was employed for 10 years by the Armour Leather Co., Noxen, and was a constable and chief of police for the Noxen area for 16 years. Mr. Traver was also a charter member of the Noxen Fire Company and Noxen Ambulance. He and his wife, the former Alice Schooley, celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary in October. He attended the United Methodist Church, Noxen.
