People Boy Scout Troop 530 from Beau- mont left on Friday, August 24, for a weekend of camping on the battle- field at Gettysburg, Pa. Driving the boys to their destination were Scout- master Marty Higgins, and Unit Commissioner Judy Gramley. The troop completed all the requirements for their Gettysburg complete patch kit and their Gettys- burg medal. On Saturday, they visited the elec- tric map and the farm and home of Dwight Eisenhower and completed their 9.5 mile Johnny Reb hike visiting some of the important points of interest held by the south during the battles which took place for three days. On Sunday they visited the Cyclorama and the National Cemetery before complet- ing the last of the badge require- ments which is the 5.5 mile Billy Yank Hike visiting the important points of interest held by the north. After doing some shopping they returned to camp about noon on Sunday and packed up and was ready for the return trip home at 2:15, that afternoon. Those making the trip were Marty Higgins, S. M., Carson Gramley, J.A.S.M., Jason Darling, Marty Hig- gins Jr., Jessie Goble, Brad Seward, Judy Gramley, U.C., and Caryn members of Dallas Boy Scout Troop 281 with Henry Stubin as Scoutmas- ter. The troop went roller skating at the Rollaway on September 26. The troop would also like to welcome David Sizemore and Doug Frantz into the troop. The Scouts will venture to Camp Acahela to take part in the fall Showando Camporall on October 17, 18, and 19. There will also be a family night held on October 27. This will be a covered dish affair. All scouts and their families are invited to attend. Deborah Ann Darling, daugh- ter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Darling, Sr., Dallas, and Mark A. Belenski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Belenski, Pringle, were married on October 4. The double ring ceremony was performed in St. Hedwig’s Church, Edwardsville, by Rev. Paul Zelinski. Soloist was Ms. Sherry Hinkle. Readings for the Mass were given by Christine Schofield, sister of the groom, and Walter Darling, godfather of the bride. The bride chose JoAnn Ketchel as her maid of honor. Brides- maids were Mrs. Donna Kear- ney, Miss Sue Ann Suhamski, Mrs. Debbie Darling, Jr., Miss Mary Frances Gdovin. Junior bridesmaid was Miss Kristie Adamski, niece of the groom. Joseph Darling, brother of the bride, served as best man. Ushers were Norman Darling, Jr., Paul Darling, brothers of the bride; George Dombroski and Keith Adamski, godson of the groom. A cocktail hour and reception were held at Irem Temple Coun- try Club, Dallas. The bride was entertained at a variety shower given by her mother. Mrs. Belenski, a graduate of Dallas High School, is employed as the assistant director of Public Relations at First Eastern Bank, and is an aerobic dance instructor at the Wilkes-Barre Family YMCA. Mr. Belenski is a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School and received his Asso- ciate degree from Luzerne County Community College. He is employed by Aaron Products and is an assistant basketball coach at Dallas Sr. High School.
