    Dallas Post staff correspondent Charlot
Denmon takes on a whole new field of
competition as she defends her title
against The Dallas Post prognosticators
- during the 1986 football season.
Denmon, who finished in a tie for first
place last year with former advertising
representative Joe Gula, had an impres-
sive 58-21 slate at the conclusion of the
1985 season.
This year, however, Denmon faces
some pretty stiff competition as the
prognosticators gear up for the upcoming
football season.
Hot on Denmon’s trail and the only
other prognosticator returning from last
year’s field is Executive Editor Dotty
Martin.. Martin, who finished in the top
slot two years ago when the Dallas Post
prognosticators made their debut, fin-
ished a disappointing fourth last year
with a 56-23 record.
New on the list this year is staff writer
John Hoinski. Hoinski, a former sports-
writer for the Sunday Independent,
claims he knows his football, if nothing
else. A graduate of the University of
Scranton, Hoinski is not taking this job as
a prognosticator lightly, even if it is his
first year in such a position.
