The first annual Luzerne County Fair OPEN Horseshoe Pitching Tournament will be held Saturday, Sept. 6 and Sunday, Sept. 7 at the Luzerne County fairgrounds during fair weekend. Preliminary qualifications will be held on Saturday to determine Class A and Class B players. On Sunday, at 4 pm. Class A and Class B players will compete for first place trophies and prize money. National Horseshoe Pitching Association rules will be followed. The weekend tournament is non-sanctioned. Over $300.00 will be awarded in cash prizes, along with trophies.
