Mrs. Ochs is the former Eva Stahl, of Wilkes-Barre. She is the daughter of Mrs. Alice Stahl and the late Charles D. Stahl of Hunlocks Creek. The couple was married August 21, 1936, in Wilkes-Barre by the late Rev. Charles H. Stahl, grandfather of Mrs. Ochs. The Ochses are the parents of three children, Mrs. Gerald (Alice) Gruver and Harold Jr., both of Drums; and Mrs. David (Peggy) Fouchs of Shavertown. They also have six grandchildren and two great-grandsons. Mr. Ochs was employed by D.B. Whitebread and Sons Trucking Co. of Sugarloaf before retiring in 1979. They were married in a chapel at Camp Breckenridge, Kentucky, on August 31, 1943. Mrs. Thomas’ sister and brother- in-law, Ann and John Walsh, were their attendants. Scouts enjoy camping trip The Lehman United Methodist Christian Fellowship Group and the Youth Fellowship Group recently went on a camping trip to Moon Lake. Following the camping trip, the groups spent a day at Rocky Glen Park. On Sunday, the two groups participated in a softball game at the Lake-Lehman Senior High School. This Saturday, they will be having a car wash and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Don;t forget to come to the Haunted Barn in October and the Roast Beef Dinner on November 8. Pageant slated The Pennsylvania State Ms. Senior America Pageant will be held Tuesday, November 11, at the Hershey Convention Center. Women representing various counties and senior organizations throughout the state will take part in the festivities which include ladies 60 years and older. The par- ticipants will express their lifestyle in evening gown, talent, philosophy of life-inner beauty, and an inter- view with the judges. The Ms. Senior America Pageant is the first to honor women who have reached the ‘Age of Ele- gance.” The judges will look for “inner beauty’ and an energetic outlook on life. The Ms. Senior America Pageant seeks to draw attention to the achievements of older women and encourages all senior Americans to utilize their full potential and share a positive out- look on life with others. Susan L. Dickinson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas W. Dickinson, Dallas, was married recently to Rodney J. Zerfoss, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald M. Zerfoss Sr., Dallas. Rev. Paul Towers performed the dcouble ring ceremony in the East Dallas Methodist Church, Dallas. The bride was escorted to the alter by her father and given in marriage by her parnets. She selected a gown of Chantilly lace designed with a Victorian neckline crystals enhanced the bodice and Elizabethan sleeves. The full skirt was edged in Chantilly lace and double florence extending to a Chan- tilly train of chapel length. Her headpiece was a circle of silk flow- ers with veils and silk illusion. Mrs. Jean Mekeel, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Brides- maids were Martie Finch and Judi Agnes. Christine Tkatch, cousin of the bride, was flowergirl. Don Zerfoss Jr. served as best man for his brother. Frank Morgan and William Lewis were ushers. A.J. Nestorick, cousin of the bride- groom, was ringbearer. An evening reception was held at the Knights of Columbus, Luzerne. A rehearsal party was hosted by the parents of the bridegroom at the Mark II Restuarant, Dallas. The bride was honored at a shower given by her mother and bridal attendants. Mrs. Zerfoss is a graduate of Dallas High School and Bloomsburg University where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Ele- mentary Education and a Master of Science Degree in Education of the Hearing Impaired. She is employed by Luzerne Intermediate Unit 18 as an elementary teacher for the hear- ing impaired. Mr. Zerfoss is a graduate of West Side Vocational Technical School where he received a certificate in sheet metal and welding work. He is employed by Landau’s Furniture Store, Plymouth.
