er Mildred Garinger Mildred 'A.. Garinger, 79, of Box 154, RD 2, Harveys Lake, died June 30 at her home. A life-resident of Harveys Lake, she was a graduate of Coughlin High School, class of 1924 and the Bloomsburg Normal School, class of 1926. She was employed as a teacher in the Lake Township school district from 1926 to 1962. Mrs. Garinger was a member of the Alderson United Methodist Church where she was the Sunday School superintendent for many years. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star of the Wyoming Valley Chapter 396 and the Delta Kappa Gamma Teaching Sorority. She was very active in the Penns Woods Girl Scouts and was a repre- sentative of the American Sumatra Tobacco Co., taking Wyoming Valley girls to Connecticut for summer work. She was an honorary member of the Harveys Lake Women’s Service Club and wasvery active jn many community affairs. Surviving are a son, Arnie, Har- veys Lake; sisters, Adelaide Kline and Florence Worth, both of Har- veys Lake; four grandchildren. Her husband, Raymond H., died in 1983. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, corner of Routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with the Rev. W. Wiliam Kennard, pastor of the Alderson United Meth- odist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Kocher Cemetery, Rug- gles. Friends may call tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. Order of the Eastern Star will conduct services tonight at 6:45 p.m. John Besecker John Fredrick Besecker, 31, of Chester, N.J. died June 28 in Dover General Hospital, Dover, N.J., from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Dallas, he lived in Short Hills, N.J., prior to moving to Ches- ter seven years ago. He was employed as a financial analysis manager for eight years for AT&T, Bedminster, N.J. 1 He was graduated from Stockton State College, Class of 1977, and received his masters in finance from Fairleigh Dickinson Univer- sity, Madison, N.J., in 1986. He was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, Class of 1983 and was employed as a book- keeper for Merchants Bank, Wilkes- Barre, for the past four years. Hock, of 49 N. Pioneer Ave., Shavertown, died June 26 at home. Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a graduate of St. Nicholas High School and had been a resident of Shavertown for 25 years. Pre- viously, she had resided in Wilkes- Barre for many years. She was a member of St. Therese’s Church, Shavertown. Surviving are daughters, Flor- ence, with whom she resided; Mrs. Isabel Voeste, Wilkes-Barre. Her husband, Christian C., died in 1964. Allegra Spare Mrs. Allegra Hughes Spare, 80, of 130 Church Road, Carverton, died June 26, in Nesbitt Memorial Hospi- tal, Kingston, after being stricken ill at her home. Born in Courtdale, she had resided in Carverton for 38 years. Mrs. Spare was a member of the Carverton United Methodist Church and its Women’s Society. Ranier, 89, of 81 Rice St., Trucksville, died June 24 at his home following an illness.
