Donna Marie Dragon, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Peter L. Dragon, Jr.,
Harveys Lake, was recently united
in marriage to John H. Hudak, Jr.,
son of Mr. and Mrs. John J. Hudak,
of Dallas.
The Rev. George A. Jeffrey per-
formed the double ring and candle
light ceremony at Our Lady of
Victory Church, Harveys Lake.
The bride, escorted to the altar by
her father, wore an original white
silk organza formal gown fashioned
with a basque bodice enhanced in
reembroidered Alencon lace and
encrusted in miniature pearls and
crystals which adorned the soft a-
symetrical draping at the deep por-
trait neckline, elbow pouff sleeves
accented with silk flowers above a
flowing skirt which swept to a
cathedral train. Her waltz length
veil of scattered appliques on
French illusion was arranged to a
shaped wreath of pearl orange blos-
soms accented with side draping.
The bride carried a slim-line bou-
quet of sweetheart roses and sonia
roses.
As her maid of honor, the bride
chose her sister, Mary Dragon.
Bridesmaids were Suzanne Ris-
mondo, sister of the bridegroom,
Cheryl Addeo and Susan Veitch. The
maid of honor wore a peacock satin
formal gown fashioned with a soft
blouson bodice enhanced with a
bateau neckline and tulip petaled
elbow length sleeves. A satin band
encircled the waist above a flowing
skirt. Her headpiece was a match-
ing satin tea hat accented with
pearls and a back pouff and French
netting blusher. The bridesmaids
were attired identical to the maid of
honor in acquamist satin and wore
matching tea hats. Each carried
triple sonia roses.
David Kleban served as best man.

IT’S TWINS — a boy and a girl
born June 17 to our Cindy Krause
who was supposed to wait until
August to deliver these two little

wish her lots of luck with her new

TIMMY MADIERA, WELCOME
HOME! Timmy spent the past six
weeks studying communications in
England. He was due to arrive
home Monday and I’m sure he did,
safe and sound. Denise Madiera
should be arriving home this week
also. Denise had the exciting
opportunity to accompany her aunt
on a trip to Hawaii for two weeks.
“The traveling Madieras’’ are the
offspring of Pastor Dennis and
Lucille Madiera of Idetown.

DR. GARY SMITH is coming to
Lehman to open an office for the
practice of family medicine. Dr.
Smith and his wife, Carol are
former residents of Lehman and it
was the hope of many that he would
open an office where Dr. McGrath
once was. He will not open there but
he has rented an office from the
Nesbitt Hospital at the Back
Mountain Medical Center and when
his obligation is completed at the
Rural Health Center in Noxen he
will have a full time practice in
Lehman.
Residents reminisce about Doc
Brown of Lehman, a doctor for
umpteen years then Dr. McGrath, a
doctor for about 20 years in
Lehman, and now Dr. Gary Smith.
He's got big shoes to fill, but anyone
who knows Gary Smith also knows
he can do it!

CONGRATULATIONS TO Clark
Van Orden and Linda McDonald.
These two very nice people were
united in marriage on Saturday in
the Trucksville Methodist Church.
By now they are enjoying their two
week honeymoon in Maine.
They are staying in the Winston
Churchill room overlooking the
shore at the beach, their breakfasts
will be served to them, all freshly
baked croissants, breakfast rolls,
etc. In the evening it’s homemade
hors d’oeuvres to munch on, all
baked fresh on the premises daily.
WELCOME HOME to my mother,
Ann Farver, of Sweet Valley, who
has been vacationing in Bermuda
this past week. I sure hope it was as
nice in Bermuda last weekend as it
was in Dallas.
