lbs. Mr. A.D., Anadarko, Oklahoma
The System’s Dream Pill com-
bines two natural substances called
L-arginine and L-ornithine which
can stimulate the body’s production
of growth hormone. Dr. Robert
Harris, a specialist in nutritional
medicine in Stafford Springs, Con-
necticut, was recently quoted as
explaining: “Growth Hormone may
be what’s responsible for allowing
teenagers to down thousands of
calories in hamburgers and other
foods and still be thin as a rail.”
“Growth Hormone is present in
people ‘up through the teenage
years, then slowly diminishes with
age. But ' L-arginine and L-
ornithine make the body ‘think’ it
belongs to a teenager again, allow-
ing adults to eat as much as they
want — and still be thin and wiry.”

Durk Pearson and Sandy Shaw,
graduates of MIT and UCLA
respectively, introduced these mira-
cle substances to the public in their
runaway best selling book, Life
Extension. They discovered the
weight-loss effects by accident.
Sandy fell and broke her foot and
started taking L-arginine because of
its well-known healing qualities.
Much to her amazement Sandy lost

pounds of firm-toned muscle in six

400 times as much fat as she would
otherwise have lost — without diet-

Time to
clean up
mailboxes
The U.S. Postal Service has desig-
nated May 19-24 as MAILBOX
IMPROVEMENT WEEK.
“Each year a week in May is set
aside to remind customers on rural,
city motorized and contract delivery
routes to examine and improve,
where necessary, the appearance of
their mailboxes,” Dallas Superin-
tendent of Postal Operations Ray
Cecconi said.
“The purpose is to call attention
to the need to provide mail recepta-
bles that are conveniently located,
safe to use, neat in appearance and
designed to protect the mail from
the weather,” Supt. Cecconi contin-
ued.
There is no question that neat,
attractive mailboxes improve the
appearance of country roads and
suburban streets. The Postal Serv-
ice points out, however, that Mail-
box Improvement Week means
more than eye appeal.
Postal regulations require that
rural and contract route carriers
must have access to mailboxes
inon having to leave their vehi-
cles.
