Luncheon slated Jackson Township supervisors approved the acceptance of a bid for $4,800 for a used office trailer and office furniture that will house the township police department temporarily, at the regular meeting held Monday, April 7. The total of $4,800 included $4,600 for the trailer and the additional $200 for office furniture. The supervisors also approved the motion to obtain the services of an appraiser to survey the property the township hopes to purchase as a possible location for a permanent township building. Most of the residents at the meet- ing were surprised at the announce- ment but most of them were in agreement that the township needed a permanent police building. The letter sent to Evans by the Woodridge Associates attorney requested that the supervi- sors pass the existing specifications for roadways within the Woodridge Associates development. The letter further stated the entire six-year project is under the guidelines of the township appointed engineer and the developers feel the supervisors should pass the resolu- tion so the development can progress. It was announced that the county has sent approval to demolish a substandard structure near Hunts- ville Corners, Huntsville Corners, owned by Arthur A. Houck of New York. DENMON in the Soccer Club plans show The April 19 Dallas Soccer Club Craft Show will include the custom and personalized wood work of Jack Dunnigan noted area wood worker. Glori Miller, chairperson of the Craft Show cited Mr. Dunnigan’s work with cradles, high chairs, wooden toys and many other items. According to Mrs. Miller, over 90 crafts people will appear. at the show scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 19 at the Dallas Senior High School. Mrs. Miller stated that along with the many wood smiths will be quil- ters, macrame, brass rubbings, leaded glass painting, candle makers, and a host of other crafts people. The proceeds from the booth rent- als at the show will help underwrite the cost of the Dallas High School Soccer trip to Scotland in early August. Soccer Club parents will also provide refreshments including hot dogs, wimpies, salads and much more.
