Cinderella
The search is on for the 1986
Prince Charming and Cinderella.
Young men andwomen, high school
seniors to age 26, are invited to
participate in the nation’s largest
and most prestigious talent search
in the country.
This unique concept of selecting
finalists for a national competition
by video tape gives every outstand-
ing college age man and woman the
opportunity to participate. The top
five male and top five female final-
ists selected by video tape will win
an all-expense paid week at the
Hyatt Regency Hotel in Miami,
Florida for competition. Prizes
include ‘a new car for the male
winner and female winner, a $500
educational savings bond, their
photos will appear in press materi-
als, and on the cover of Pageantry
Magazine, a trip to the 1987 Interna-
tional Finals, an all expense Carib-
bean cruise, a two day visit to
Disney World-Epcot Center and
more.

Club to meet
The Book Club of the Back Moun-
tain Memorial Library. will meet
Monday April 21, at 1:30 p.m. at the
library.,
Jo Bonham, secretary, will give
the treasurers report and talk about
some new books. Nancy Kozemchak
will have an assortment of the
newest book club books on hand. At
the May meeting Robbie Moore will
talk about Mitchner’s book
will report on the contingency fund.
Tea will be served, guests are
welcome.

Shavertown; has graduated from
the U.S." Air Force Morse systems
operator course at Keesler Air
Force Base, Miss.
Graduates .of . the 21-week course
studied international morse code,
the operation of electronic commu-
nications monitoring systems, and
earned credits toward an associate
degree in applied science through
the Community College of the Air
Force.
Swingle was an honor graduate of
the course.
He is a 1985 graduate of Dallas
Senior High School.

Mrs. Ferrari is a graduate of

Bloomsburg State College, where
Degree in Communications. She is
employed as a property manager
for F.M. Ferrari Investments,
Verona, N.J.
Mr. Ferrari is a graduate of
Verona High School and Plymouth
State College, N.H. where he
received ‘a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Marketing. He is the
president and general partner of
F.M. Ferrari Investments, Verona.
Following a wedding trip to the
Italian Alps and the French Riviera,
the couple will reside in Verona.

LAST WEEKEND my husband
and I spent the weekend near Lew-
isburg. That is a lovely area and we
had a very nice time. One thing that
I noted as we passed a local fire
house was that this weekend they
would be holding a ham and dande-
lion supper. I found this very intri-
guing. I have never eaten dandelion
greens, but I understand that many
people just love this very available
delicacy.

have announced the engagement of
their daughter Debra to Guy C.
Zehner, son of Mrs. Gloria Zehner,
RD 1, White Haven and Mr. Charles

Miss Prater is a graduate of
Wilkes College, summa cum laude
where she received a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Biology and a
Master of Science Degree in Biology
Education. She is employed ‘at
Wilkes College as the Director of
the Academic Support Center.
Mr. Zehner is a graduate of
Wilkes College with a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Biology and is
presently attending The Culinary
Institute of America, Hyde Park,
N.Y. He will graduate in June with
an Associate’s Degree in Occupa-
tional Studies.
The couple will exchange vows
November 1 in Prince of Peace
Church, Dallas.

chairs have been added and litera-
ture and audio-visual materials
have been purchased.
Personally, I. can think of no
greater memorial than helping chil-
dren learn to enjoy the library and
providing them with fine books to
