GEORGE AND JUDY SCHALL of
Bulford Road, Shavertown, have
returned home after a couple of
weeks in Florida. This was their
first trip to Florida without the
children so it was a new experience
in some ways — totally relaxing
with no time limits to meet — just
fun, sun and a good time. Sporting a
beautiful tan, Judy reports tempera-
tures were perfect, the lowest in the
evenings being in the 70’s.
BRAD AND DAVE BRYANT
have returned home to their fami-
lies in Dallas and Harveys Lake
after spending nearly two months in
self employed in the recreational
vehicle business and when work got
slow in the Poconos at Eagle Lakes
where they are most of the year,
they moved on with the motor
homes to Vacation Land, Florida.
Welcome back. I know your families
missed you very much and so did
your friends.

MRS. ROSE M. GULA of Joseph
Street, Dallas has returned home
after spending two weeks in Florida
also. Mrs. Gula was traveling with
her brother and sister-in-law from
the Philadelpia area. This was her
first time to go to Florida so it was
a very interesting and happy experi-
ence for her. ;
Mrs. Gula, a teacher at Meyers
High School, especially enjoyed vis-
iting the Tupperware plant. It was a
very interesting tour and had a lake
to fish for the sportsman plus many
points of interest. It was located in
Kissimee, Florida. In Orlando, the
highlight was Disneyworld and
Epcot Center. She also reports the
weather was beautiful.

TONY SILVERSTEEN, Sutton
Hills, Shavertown, reports she saw
the first sign of spring in our Back
Mountain. Peeping out of the ground
in her very own yard is the long
awaited flower the crocus. It’s like
music to our ears to hear “crocus
and daffodils” are peeping through,
it only means one thing - Spring! !

DAFFODILS ARE HERE this
week. If you ordered some, remem-
ber to pick up your “bunch of life.”
If you didn’t order in advance, you
can buy over the counter at several
stores in the Back Mountain Area.
These beautiful yellow spring flow-
ers have a dual purpose, the fight
against cancer being the main one,
beauty the second.
There are 10 daffodils in a bunch
and they are only $3.00 a bunch. Put
them in bud vases and you can get
10 happy displays that way. If you
work, put one on your desk or on
your counter. Share your concern
for the deadly disease, show you
care.
