WELCOME HOME TO Denise Grey of Sweet Valley, daughter | of Betty Lou and Donald Grey. Denise just returned from a very exciting trip to New Mexico and California. It was her first time to fly so that was a neat experience for her and and California. Her grandmother accompanied her to New Mexico where they spent two weeks visiting relatives and touring then Denise went on to California by herself where she spent week, then it was back home for all. Denise had a color analysis done locally and bought her perfect colors by Revlon at Stapinskis before she left. I’m sure our ‘“Penn- sylvania girl” represented us well in California! -0- DR. As we were talk- ing (which I do a lot of) I began to realize who she was. It turns out she is the sister-in-law of one of my favorite people in this whole world, the late Doris Wolfe. I worked for Doris and Pete Wolfe (remember Wolfes Grove in Sweet Valley?) from when I was 11 years old until I was 18 years old. Nan Parry frequented their home, but I had put her in the back of my mind until last week. It turned out to be one of my best days at work. It’s so good to talk to nice people and bring back good memories. As I was telling my kids about my past working days with Pete and Doris Wolfe, the best days of my life, they got lost with the thought of “You had a job when you were only 11 years old.” Can you imagine an 11 year old being a cashier in a skating rink today? Times have changed. -0- JEFF POORMAN, now living in Delaware with his dad Dan Poor- man, a former principal at Dallas High School was in our area on the weekend. Jeff, Jeff Spudis, Dennis Dacusin (Dallas Sr. High high point scorer the past couple games in basketball), and our Keith all got together for a game of basketball at Kingston Rec Center Saturday. These four guys think they can challenge the world’s best in basket- ball, so it was a great day for old times sake. Keith Hillard did his final basket as he landed on his ankle instead of his foot and here we go again, Keith is on crutches with a fractured ankle. Last time it was the other ankle and it’s been two years betgween acts this time, so I guess we are improving. Do hurry and get back on your feet Keith! It was good seeing Jeff Poorman again too. <0 WALT AND JUDY WILLIAMS of Shavertown are bursting with joy at the birth of their daughter, Halli Ann born on Feb. 11. The Williams also have two beautiful adopted children at home, Jessie and Cassie. So it’s a first and a 3rd, we are all so happy for them. 0 DR. ROBERTA KLEIN, chiro- practor and her two children have returned to their Harveys Lake home after spending about a week in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Klein was attending a seminar while her chil- dren got to spend time with their grandparents also. Back home, husband Dr. Albert Klein, chiropractor, had the plea- sure of treating all the patients in their Dallas office. That’s called togetherness! Welcome home, Bobbi! -0- GET WELL WISHES still go out to Mr. Marcus Hozempa of Midland Ave., Dallas, who is recuperating from by-pass surgery two weeks ago at Hahnemann Hospital in Phil- adelphia.
