Cuscela, co-founder and chairman of the board of Jewelcor, Inc. and a member of the Wilkes College Board of Trustees, will serve as General Chairman of the Wilkes College 1986 Annual Giving Campaign. The announcement was made by Wilkes President Christo- pher N. Breiseth. Cuscela, who is a graduate of Wilkes College, Class of 1950, has extensive background in marketing and corporate management as head of Jewelcor, a New York Stock Exchange listed company, which maintains executive offices both in New York and Wilkes-Barre. (TO AGE 12) Cuscela’s professional affiliations include membership on the board of Gruen Industries, Inc. and the Industry Sector Advisory Commit- tee on Consumer Goods for the U.S. Department of Commerce. He also serves as a member on several advisory boards, including the Com- mittee for Economic Growth and the United Way Annual Campaign Committee. He served as chairman for the corporate phase of the Wilkes College 1985-86 Annual Cam- paign. He resides in Dallas with his wife, the former Mary Lee Wilcox, and their daughters, Kristin and Susan. The Wilkes College Division of Continuing Education is offering a Central European cultural study tour which will provide participants with the opportunity to learn about th countries of Austria, West Ger- many and Switzerland first-hand. Edelweiss, as the tour is called, will run from July 24 to August 10, 1986, under the escort of Dr. Charlotte Lord, Professor Emerita, and Dr. Walter Karpinich, Associate Profes- sor of Language and Literarute at Wilkes College. Edelweiss will focus on a variety of cultural centers in: Central Europe. The trip’s itinerary includes stops in Vienna and Sals- burg in Austria; Munich, Heidel- burg and Rothenburg in West Ger- many; and Lucerne in Switzerland. Among the special events planned VARIOUS OF BACK MOUNTAIN for the trip are a full-day excursion to Nurenburg, an operetta perform- ance in Vienna, a concert at Sals- burg, and visits to Neuschwanstein and Linderhof Castles.
