The Scouts and Explorers of
Troop and Post 232 of Heaven Gate,
Dallas, has been acting on holiday
feelings even though it’s not the
holiday season.
Since last May the young men and
women of the Troop and Post have
been volunteering at the St. Vincent
De Paul Soup Kitchen in Wilkes-
Barre.
They have served food, stacked
cans, cleaned up, helped repair
things and run food drives. All 30 of
the scouts from the Troop and Post
have worked at one job or another
at the kitchen.
Three Eagle Scout Candidates
designed separate proejcts to aid
the Soup Kitchen and its clients.
Each project drew on the talents
and abilities of different age groups
within the Troop and Post.
Nathan Kelley has coordinated
food collection as his Eagle Scout
project. Robert Skursky has coordi-
nated teams who serve food and
clean up after the meal. James

ing and clean-up fix-up teams.
