There were cars hanging from the ceilings, and ramps with cars on them so you could look out or look down and enjoy the ‘suspended look’ of all those autos. It was a beautiful show, if you : A} didn’t see a car that fit your fancy then you weren’t looking for one. The price was there, any price so one had to fit your pocketbook. a For the ‘‘jet HILLARD set” there were sport cars for the students there were used cars in excellent condi- tion, and for the executive there were Cadillacs and Mercedes Benz, and for anyone there were all those in between. If you missed it, you really missed a neat experience. From all those ‘‘sold” signs in the windows I'd say the Ertley Dealer- ship had a successful unusual show, so everyone benefited. Sonny Smith of Monroe Ave., Dallas, has an ‘‘unusual”’ evening on Saturday night at the Country Club. Sonny was presented with a beautiful desk set on the 20th year of his service to the Dallas Fire and Laser specialist Dr. Martin Freifeld, a Back Mountain resident, is involved in a new surgical technique at Nesbitt Memo- rial Hospital's newly estab- lished Laser Surgery Center. Ambulance Association. There aren’t too many men who give 20 years of service to their local fire company as a volunteer. Congratu- lations Sonny, the community bene- fits from men like yourself. Also receiving special recognition at the Dallas Fire and Ambulance Association banquet Saturday night was Mayor Paul LaBar of Dallas. The ambulance went out on 479 calls during th year and Paul was on more than 245 of those. It takes a very special person to make himself available for 245 volunteer ambul- ance calls in a year. It’s people like these two men who are always ready to help when the need arises. Congratulations! Two weeks ago I gold you about the snowmobiling trip Jack and Jacquie Robbins and family spent in Vermont. I've learned their trip turned out to be a horrendous expe- rience. Jacquie hit a tree with her snowmobile, broker her leg, had to be flown home to Nesbitt Hospital where she had surgery and a pin in the leg this past week. Jacquie we sure hope you heal fast and com- pletely, I can’t imagine you not hurrying around all the time.
