This party also marked an anniversary because it marks one year of special projects planned by the auxililary since its inception in 1984. Members of the auxiliary provided home- baked cookies for the event and assisted the residents in decorating the Christmas trees. Entertainment for the party was furnished by the New Community Singers under the direction of Shirley Mahle. The group presented a lovely progrfam of carols and holiday music and led the residents and auxiliary in singing their favorite carols. The Meadows Nursing Center Auxiliary is now conducting their second membership drive and invite all local residents to be part of this worthwhile endeavour as active or sustainer members. For information on our auxiliary and the volunteer opportunities: available please call Marilyn Gregorski at 675-8600 or president of the auxiliary Dianne Corby at 675-4893. Since 1950, Wilkes-Barre General's Obstetrics Department tradi- tionally has been wrapping its babies in Christmas stockings during the holi- days. Donated by Mrs. Michael Hudacek and fash- ioned by Mrs. Guy Serpico, the bright red stockings rep- resent the special gift of a : baby, especially at Christ- Ay mastime.
