After losing a close 35-21 meet to
the Meyers Mohawks, the Dallas
High School wrestlers ran their
record to 2-2, Friday night, by
coasting by West Side Titans 44-17.
The Dallas Mountaineers used
four pins and two forfeits in defeat-
ing the game Titans. The first four
matmen started the ball rolling for
Dallas with 98-1b. Jim O’Donnell
pinning Brian Maguski in 3:10 and
185-1b. Chris Vincelli took a 6-1
decision from Mohawk Jeff Dumble
but Hwt. Bill Edwards proved too
much for Mountaineer Tom Schact,
pinning him in 1:01.
The Mohawks clinched the meet
in the final four bouts by taking
by a decision.
BLACK KNIGHTS SPLIT
Coach Ed Ladamus’ Black
Knights of Lake-Lehman picked up
a win and a loss in an exhibition tri-
meet, Saturday, with the Williams-
| Canton scored their final team
points at 167 and 185 when Kevin
Route clamped 167-1b. Ernie Clamor
in 49 seconds and Todd Seidhof took
Bill George in a 3-2 decision. Hwt.
Ed Stratford broke the 24-24 tie
when he picked up six team points
on a forfeit.

in the meet with the Trojans when
98-1b. Shawn Wandel was pinned in

ards.
Richards used a takedown in the
first period to take the lead but
Bower came back with a takedown
in the second period to tie up the
bout. The grapplers battled for the
lead with the break going to Bower
when he managed to escape in the
closing seconds of the third period
to earn a 3-2 decision.
With Dallas leading 20-8, 138-lb.
Brian Maseychik moved Dallas to
26 when he won on a default by

The Knights put together two
falls, a forfeit and four decisions in

Reinert took an 11-0 decision from
the Bills Jeff Keifer and Austin
bested Matt Missigman 14-4. Wil-
liamsport had five pins, a technical
fall and four decisions in routing the
Knights.
98-1b. Reinert started the win
against Canton with a pin in 3:07
over Ty Cohick and 105-Ib. Austin
shut out opponent Ryan Larcom 5-0.
112-Ib. Dave Guzenski lost 8-4 to
Canton’s Chris Landis and 119-lb.
Terry Smith was flattened by Tim
Ward in 3:19. 126-lb. Max Chilson
Gary Bolesta in 3:27 and 112-lb.
Austin clamped Travis Shumosic in
2:37. 119-lb. Dave Guzenski added
six points to the board with a
technical fall over George Becker.
126-1b. Chris Frederick continued
the string for the Knights by turning
over Kevin Sherman in 3:10 and 132-
Ib. Ty Shaw, first time out on the
varsity squad, pinned Tom Vitale in
5:59. 138-Ib. Joe Smith gave the
Knights another six points by drop-
ping Shawn Swicklick in 4:46.
The Trojans moved their team
score to 10 when their 145-Ib. Neil
Quoos took a major 11-0 decision
from Mark Yaple.
Knight Don Spencer picked up
three points for his team by defeat-
ing 155-1b. Tom Grobinski 7-4 but the
Trojans took the 167-1b. and 185-lb.
