Ronald Faust of the Governor’s
Veterans Outreach and Assistance
Center has announced that the
Pennsylvania Job Service has
placed into operation an On the Job
Training (OJT) Program for disa-
bled veterans which provides finan-
cial incentives to employers to help
disabled veterans secure training
and permanent employment.
The Program, funded through
Title IVC of the Job Training Part-
nership Act, provides a reimburse-
ment of up to 50 percent of the
disabled veteran’s wages, plust an
additional $500 for work site adapta-
tions to make the place of employ-
ment and training accessible for
service connected disabled veterans
hired through the program.
Any veteran with a service con-
nected disability rate at 10 percent
or more will be eligible for the
program. Disabled veterans must
register through Job Service. For
information contact the Governor’s
Veterans Outreach and Assistance
Center, 45 W. Market Street, Hotel
Sterling, Wilkes-Barre, phone 825-
7343 or toll-free 1-800-432-9735; or
any Job Service office.
