Saturday afternoon.
Santa arrives
Pictured above are Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus an their chief
elf as they arrived at the Harveys Lake second annual
Christmas tree lighting ceremony which was held December
8 at the Boro Building. The tree arrived via Harveys Lake
newest fire engine driven by Clarence Hogan, Fire Chief with
Ron Spock assisting. Mayor Frank Picchi lit the tree as Mr.
and Mrs. Claus led everyone is singing Christmas carols.
Refreshments were served by the Harveys Lake Protective
Association; Jo Ann Jones, President and Gloria Evans. The
association sponsored the tree lighting in cooperation with
the Harveys Lake Municipal Authority, George Mauer
President and Boro Council Richard Boice Chairman. The
arrangements for Santa's visit were made by Rich Goode,
chairman, Marian DeBalko and Casey Cummings.
