PROHIBITION OF PARKING ON
PORTION OF NORTH MAIN
STREET
The Kingston Township Board
of Supervisors does hereby
enact and ordain, pursuant to
‘THE SECOND CLASS TOWN-
SHIP. CODE’, as prepared in
accordance with the Home Rule
Charter and Optional Plans Law,
Act 62 of 1972, of the Common-
wealth of Pennsylvania, effective
January 1, 1976 that:
SECTION I:
The parking of vehicles on
that portion of North Main
Street, Kingston Township; Luz-
erne County, as depicted on the
map attached hereto and made
part hereof and delineated in red
is prohibited.
SECTION II:
Any person violating this ordi-
nance, and the owner of any
vehicle parked in violation of this
ordinance, shall be subject to a
fine and penalty not less than
FIVE DOLLARS 3500 and not
exceeding FIFTY DOLLARS
($50.00) in any instance for the
violation, which fine and penalty
may be collected by suit or
summary proceeding brought in
the name of the Township of
Kingston before any magistrate
SECTION iI:
The Manager of the Township
of Kingston shall cause signs to
be erected at the proper places
along that portin of North Main
Street where parking of vehicles
is prohibited to comply with the
applicable provisions of the
Pennsylvania Vehicle Code.
SECTION IV:
This ordinance shall take

TAX RATE
FOR THE YEAR 1986
The Kingston Township Board
of Supervisors does hereby
enact and ordain, pursuant to
Article VIII, Section 804.2(c) of
“The Second Class Townshi
Code’’, as prepared in accord-
ance with THE HOME RULE
CHARTER AND OPTIONAL
PLANS LAW, Act 62 of 1972, of
the Commonwealth of Pennsyl-
vania effective January 1, 1976,
that:
SECTION 1: That by enact-
ment of the budget for fiscal
year 1986, a tax be and the
same is hereby levied on all real
prongity within the Township of
ingston ‘subject to taxation for
fiscal year 1986, as follows: Tax
rate for general purposes in the
sum of five (5.0) mills on each
dollar assessed valuation, or the
sum of fifty cents (8.50) on each
one hundred dollars ($100.00) of
assessed valuation.
SECTION 2: Any ordinance
conflicting with this ordinance
be and the same is repealed
insofar as the same affects this
ordinance.

Historical and Museum Commis-

Manuscripts setting forth the
proper procedures for the
destruction or transfer of certain

In accordance with the
requirements ‘of this act, the
Board of Supervisors adopts the
suggested Retention and Dis-
position Schedule as outlined for
the Local Government Records
Committee dated May 17, 1982,
and same as which may be
amended from time to time.
SECTION ii:
No municipal official shall be
held liable on his official bond or
in the way of damages for loss
or in any other manner, civil or
criminal, because of the disposi-
tion of public records pursuant
to the provision of this act.
SECTION IV:
This ordinance shall take
effect upon its enactment.
