Bear for Bill in Wyoming County. Twenty one local youth were hon- ored in the Fall Court of Honor held by Explorer Post and Troop 232 at Merrick Hall, College Misericordia. The awards were presented to the boys by Lee D. Williames, Senior Patrol Leader, James Strange, Asst. Senior Patrol Leader and Nathan Kelley, Vice President of the Explorer Post. Dr. Lee Wil- liames, the Scoutmaster, made spe- cial note of some truly unique achievements of the scouts. Nathan Kelley, Lee D. Williames, and Andy Yencha were recognized for earning both the 50 Mile Afloat and the 50 Mile Afoot awards in this past summer. They completed a 60 mile backpacking trip on the Loyal- canoe trek on the Delaware. James Strange and Lee D. Wil- liames were presented with the Readers Digest Leadership Award for the leadership of the Troop and Post, respectively. They are now being considered for the area wide leadership award. The Scouts and Explorers were ~ recognized for awards they had earned from July through the end of October. Eric Williams has received Skill Awards for Family Living, Environ- ~ mental Science, Camping, Cooking, Physical Fitness, Hiking, Communi- cations and First Aid.
