10 THE DALLAS POST/Wednesday, November 13, 1985 Officers installed Bobcats inducted The Auxiliary of the Meadows Nursing Center recently hosted a Halloween Party for the residents of the nursing center. Twenty-two vol- unteers led the festivities which included a. sing-along and special Halloween treats. Entertainment for the party was provided by Sister Sharon Gallagher, R.S.M., of Col- lege Misericordia, who plays a most unusual instrument called a ‘“Boom- Ba”. Sister Sharon’s performance delighted both residents and volun- teers and contributed muc hto the success of the afternoon. The next meeting of the Meadows Nursing Center Auxiliary will be held on Monday, Nov. 11 at 10 a.m. in the third floor dining room. The public is invited to attend. The program will include a film on “Confidentiality” and refreshments will be served. Chairman named Stanford L. Weiss, president of Rural Health Corporation, Wilkes- Barre, has accepted the appoint- ment. to serve as general chairman of the 1986 Campaign for King’s, according to the college’s develop- ment director, the Rev. Laurence M. Olszewski. Overall goal of the campaign will be to raise $525,000 before June 30, 1986, to support the development of new curricula, purchase of new equipment and other educational resources, faculty development and student scholarships at King’s. As general chairman, Weiss will oversee the efforts of nearly 250 volunteers in the Wyoming Valley to reach a Community Phase goal of $225,000. The Community Phase of the Campaign will take place in February and March. Weiss joined Rural Health Corpo- ration in August 1975. Rev. John J. Klein, Pastor of Immaculate Conception Church, Franklin, New Jersey, performed the double ring wedding ceremony. Rev. Klein is cousin to the bride. The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose her sister, Eliza- beth Snee, as maid of honor. Renee Busch, Melinda McGuire, Linda Kotch and Marlene Kaminski were bridesmaids. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Pennsylvania State Uni- versity and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Georgia, Athens. She is employed as the subscription manager at M&T Publishing, Inc., Palo Alto, CA. The bridegroom attended Wyo- ming Valley West High School and graduated from El Paso High School. He received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University at Lehman. He is employed by Schlage Lock Co., San Francisco, CA. as a quality assurance engineer. Following a wedding trip to Maui, the couple is residing in Foster City, CA. A Xmas Beauty and Talent Pag- eant will be held on Sunday, Dec. 1, at the Mayfair Supper Club. The pageant is open to all girls between the ages of 4 and 22 years of age which will be broken up into 4 age divisions. They may enter the beauty or the talent division or both.
