Ball scheduled
A Black Tie Ball will be held at the Hayfield House on the
campus of Penn State Wilkes-Barre on Saturday, Nov. 9,
from 8 p.m. until midnight. This first time event is being
sponsored by Arts At Hayfield; a new cultural organization in
the Back Mountain founded to promote the arts. The ball will
feature a buffet and music by Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia from
University Park. This 16 member band has a large repertoire
of dance music from the 1920's to the 1970’s including fox
trots, jitterbugs, waltzes, and tangos. Phi Mu Alpha is a
professional fraternity for men in music with over 200
chapters nationwide. Tickets for the ball are $20.00 per
person. Information about the ball or tickets may be
