U-10 DIVISION
The U-10 Division battled for their
victories under warm and sunny
skies on Saturday. The Cosmos
defeated the Fury 2 to 0 with Mike
~ Scott scoring in the second quarter
and Sean Callahan putting away a
penalty kick in the third quarter.
Strong and alert goalies were Gary
Farbor for the Cosmos and Darin
Dixon for the Fury.
In the second contest of the day,
the Kicks held on to beat the Rough-
necks 4-2. Thanks to a great effort
by Tom Oznik, the Kicks were able
- to keep their opponent to only two
goals both scored by Tom Smigiel-
ski. Robert Kane provided forward
leadership for the Kicks by scoring
2 goals and Jessica Kerr and Scott
Walters helped ensure the win by
each kicking goals.
In a heated defensive struggle,
the Rowdies overpowered the Sock-
ers 5-2. Randy Slaff scored for the
Sovckers, while outstanding defen-
sive tactics by Lynn Turner adn
Justin Lochheim held that team to
its low total. The Rowdies goals
were scored by Brad Barket (3) and
~ Eddie Thomas (2) two outstanding
forwards who have put forth their
‘best all season and continue to
provide energy and expertise for
their team.
The final game of the day- saw a
lopsided meeting of the Sting and
the Strikers with the Sting victo-
rious 5-0. Pounding the opposing
goal all day, the Sting’s points were
scored by Patrick Costello (3) and
Michael petruska (2). These two
quick and sure-footed forwards have
consistently been scoring leaders.

U-12 DIVISION
U-12 Division the Sting’s aggres-
sive offensive line led that team
past the Strikers 5 to 3. The Strikers
held firm in the first quarter
answering every Sting goal with a
Striker goal but the Sting forged
ahead in the second and added an
insurance goal in the third to secure
the win. Steven Geist scored two
goals for the Sting while Kevin
Loeffler, Kenn Miroslaw, and Tracy
Hefron added one apiece. Two of the
Strikers goals were tallied by Jeff
Malak. David Knapp added the
third, Geoffrey Spear, Libby Davies
and Chris Williams highlighted the
Sting defense while Marcia Garcia
played an outstanding day at half-
back for the Strikers.
A total team effort by the Sockers
ousted the Rowdies 6-2. Rob Jemio
began the Sockers scoring off a pass
from Liz Cave then Alison Cave
made it 2-0 when she connected on a
pass from Eric McDonough. Liz
Cave scored an unassisted goal to
finish the first half scoring. Jemio
began it again in the second half off
a pass from Sean Reynolds who
then went on to score two goals of
his own. Rob Beretski scored both
Rowdies goals. Nancy Kingsbury
and Randy Shovlin led the Sockers
defense.
In a triumph oer the Fury Shawn
Scavone had an outstanding day for
the Cosmos with five goals. John
Kachurick also looked great with
two goals and three assits. Jason
McDade had one. Steve Rosenthal
scored both Fury goals on penalty
kicks.
Two of the division leaders, the
Chargers and the Stallions, battled
to a 1-1 tie with a goal in the second
quarter. Chris Boraski scored in the
last minutes of the game to tie it at
1-1. Chargers goalies A.J. Cecconi
and Steven McCafferty were out-
standing in their positions while
Scott Cox played a very tough game
in the Stallions goal.
The other division leader, the
Kicks, triumphed over the Rough-
necks in a close game. Jason
Mattey scored two for the Kicks to
give them an early lead but the
Roughnecks came back ‘in the
second half when Chris Ryan scored
off a pass by Tom Adams and
Adams scored on an assist from
Brian Miller. With the score tied at
2-2, Kevin Chapple pounded in the
winning goal in the last quarter.
Chapple and teammates John
Morris and Jason Rogers had out-
standing plays on Kicks defense. In
another game the Lancers and Com-
Wega and Danny Perrato scoring
for the Lancers. Greg Choi tallied
both Comets goals.

U-14 DIVISION
In U-14 action this weekend, the
game between the Cosmos and
Chargers saw only one goal. Eric
Nardone penetrated the Charger
defense and on a breakaway pass
from Neil Kaiser socred for the
Cosmos. Robert Neyhard as goalie
kept the Chargers from putting any
number on the board.
All-around teamwork by the Fury
allowed them to shut out the Kicks 2
to 0. Both teams played defensively
and in the third quarter Eric Pac-
zewski passed to Lindo Sabatini who

but Eric Paczewski capped the
game on an unassisted goal. Goalies
for both teams had a real workout
and did excellent jobs. For the
Fury, goalies were Eric Paczewski
and Scott Bearly and for the Kicks,
Willie Boyczuk.
