low medalist honors last Thursday
as they downed the Dallas Mountai-
“neers 14-7 at Fox Hill Country Club.
Warrior ‘Rob Cella took low med-
alist with a score o 56 over the 12-
hole par-47 course. His teammate
~ Jeff Randazzo was second low med-
alist with a 57 and Warrior John
Mulern and Mountaineer Rob
Dombek each shot a 58 to tie for
third low, medalist honors.
The win upped Wyoming's record
to 11-1 while Dallas dropped to 6-2.
Mulhearn defeated Jim Aikman 3-
0, Cella took Dombek 2-1, and Ran-
dazzo blanked R. Holthaus 3-0.
Artley at 14:00.

Mountaineer Chris Busch dropped
his match 2-1 to Bill Ramakus but
Chris Givens picked up a 2-1 match
from Wyoming’s Tom Skursky and
Mount John Thomas defeated Toole
2%-Ya.
The Mountaineers under first year
coach Jim Smith defeated the Pitts-
ton Patriots, 14-7, with Rich Hol-
thaus taking low medalist honors
with a 53 over the 12-hole-par 48
course at Irem Temple Country
Club.
The Patriots Phil Amico took
second low medalist with a 56 and
Jim Aikman of Dallas tied with
Pittston’s Larry Miller, each firing
Bonomo’s Sports Center took
three points from Gordon Insurance
in the Ladies Country League to
move into a three-way tie for first
place with Grotto Pizza and the
Castlettes, who divided evenly.
Close on their heels is Fashion
- Vending while Gordon Insurance
and G.H. Harris are tied for lasts-
pot.
Hitting high scores last week were
N. Ide 218 @89), R. Gula 188, P.
Gordon 172, J. Haefele 183 and P.
Williams 474.
In the Back Mt. Church League
Carverton A shut out Carverton B
while East Dallas blanked Trucks-
ville C. Shavertown A picked up
three points from Trucksville B and
Dallas A copped three from Maple
Grove. Shavertown B took three
from Orange A.
Among the highest scores were H.

On Monday afternoon, Crestwood
Comets took a 12-9 match from
Lake-Lehman at Edgewood-in-the-
Pines.
Comet John Simonson took low
medalist honors with a 45 over the
nine-hole par 54 course.
Knight Todd Krupa copped second
low medalist with a 58 and his
teammate Don Buzinkai shot a 50
for third low medalist honors.
Results of the match were Simon-
son defeating Buzinkai 21-1,
Krupa blanking Pete Belisle 3-0;
Jeff Stein of Crestwood taking
Knight Steve Kazmierski 212-1;
Comet Jim Tower blanking Mike
Kirschner 3-0; Tony DeGennari
blanking Andy Thomas 3-0 and
Lake-Lehman’s Damon Barbaceci
defeating Scott Belisle 3-0.

It was Mountaineer Wally Gau-
thier’s third goal in the final period
that ended the Lake-Lehman team’s
rally and give Dallas the win.
Dallas scored first when Eric
Marshall scored unassisted :25 sec-
onds into the period. Neither team
scored .in the second quarter, but
the Mountainers put three scores on
the board in the third period.
Mike Richards scored unassisted
2:35 into the quarter, Gauthier, with
an assist by G. Mihalick scored 3:00
into the period, then again 16:00 into
the period on an assist by Richards.
In the fourth quarter, Undheim,
on an assist by Hagman, scored for
the Knights 5:00 into the period.
Hagman assisted by Dennis scored
14:00 into the period then Hagman
scored again 17:00 into the period on
a penalty kick.
Gauthier scored the final goal for
Dallas, unassisted, 18:00 into the
final period.
Both teams had nine corners.
Dallas had 25 shots on goal, Lake-
Lehman had 21. John Sheehan had
15 saves for Dallas, Sesin and
Straka had three for the Knights.

Neither team scored in the first
quarter in what appeared to be a
close contest but Gauthier’s two
unassisted goals in the third quarter
broke open a 1-0 contest.
Jason Maniskas gave Dallas a 1-0
lead when he scored: unassisted.5:45
into the second quarter. In the third
quarter, Gauthier scored 2:57 into
the period then John Tinner scored
unassisted 3:30 into the period. At
9:33 into the period, Gauthier,
scored his second goal to give
Dallas a 4-0 lead.
Mike Richards with an assit by
Morris scored 1:15 into the fourth
quarter and Brent Snowdon, unass-
isted, scored 11:45 into the quarter.
Dallas had seven corners, Bishop
Hoban had three. Dallas had 31
shots on goal, Hoban had seven.
Sheehan had three saves for Dallas.
Peznowski had five saves, Bielecki
had three saves and Furcon had 13
saves for Bishop Hoban.
On Tuesday afternoon, Dallas
boys defeated Bishop O’Reilly 8-0
with Mike Richards scoring three
goals in the first quarter, two of
them unassisted, one with an assist
by G. Mihalick. Neither team
scored in the second quarter.
Gauthier, with an assist by Mark
Richardson, scored first in the third
quarter, then Tinner scored unass-
isted. Jim Evans scored on an assist
by Tinner, then scored a second
goal unassisted to move Dallas in
front 7-0.
The Mountaineers raised their
record to 6-0 when John Tinner
scored unassisted in the fourth
quarter to give Dallas a final 8-0
score.
Dallas had nine corners, Bishop
O’Reilly had three. Dallas had 16
shots on goal, O'Reilly had seven.
Sheehan had four saves for Dallas;
Gabel had 14 saves for O'Reilly.
Dallas was scheduled to play
Abington Heights at home, Tuesday,
and Wyoming Seminary, away,
Thursday.
Lake-Lehman was scheduled to
and Bishop O'Reilly on Wednesday.
