The 1985 West Side Tech football roster features 25
lettermen on a squad of 40 players and head coach Ray
McNulty is hoping this experience will allow his Titans
to play competitive football against all opponents.
The large size of the offensive front (an average of
6’1”’, 200 pounds) will afford holds for the runners while
the defensive front will feature Gary Young, Randy
Garney, Pete Hoffman and Joe Valvano. Young is a
6’3”’, 295 pound senior; Garney is 6’2”’, 265 pound junior;
Hoffman is a 6’0’’, 220 pound junior; and Valvano is a
5°11’, 185 pound junior.
The 25 returning lettermen on the Tech roster include
Dave Sheply, 56”, 145 pound senior quarterback; Bill
Bower, 5’5”’, 140 pound senior runningback; Tom Skiro,
6’0”, 180 pound senior runningback; Rich Sokoloski,
5’11”, 220 pound senior tackle; Chris Mackiewicz, 6;0;;,
175 pound senior center.
Also, Paul Feeney, 56’’, 150 pound senior fullback;
Pete O’Neill, 6°3’, 195 pound senior tackle; Ralph
Bowman, 6°1”, 185 pound senior guard; Pat Brennan,
5’7’, 150 pound junior quarterback; Joe O’Neill, 51”,
165 pound junior quarterback-runningback; Mark
Obrzut, 6°1”’, 212 pound junior guard.
Also, Pete Hoffman, 6°0”’, 220 pound junior tackle; Joe
Valvano, 5’10”’, 185 pound junior tackle; Tony Sheposki,
6’0”’, 185 pound junior fullback; Randy Garney, 6’2”, 265
pound junior tackle; Ben Vitkoski, 5’6’’, 140 pound junior

The Titans of West Side Tech expect to chase
Crestwood, Bishop Hoban and Lake-Lehman for the
Division III football championship this year.
Head coach Ray McNulty will be assisted on the
football field by John Zelones, Joe Girman and Gary
Morgantini.
