There will be a big celebration and a happy reunion when the Family Service Association of Wyoming Valley has its 90th Annual Meeting-Luncheon at noon on Sept. 5, at the Sheraton-Crossgatess in Wilkes-Barre. Returning to Wyoming Valley, to honor Family Service as the principal speaker for this commemora- tion, is the noted former resident, Alfred Eisenpreis. Eisenpreis was first employed by Pomeroy’s in Wilkes-Barre, went on to become an economic consul- tant to three U.S. presidents, and is curretnly a vice- president with the Newspaper Advertising Bureau. ~ Founded in 1895 and known as ‘‘United Charities” until 1941, Family Service has chosen this 90th Anniver- “sary meeting to present special Community Service Awards to Judge Chester B. Muroski of the Luzerne ‘County Orphans Court and Ian Richardson, executive vice-president of Offset Paperback Mfrs. Inc. of Dallas. ~All 90-year old residents of Wyoming Valley have ben invited to be Family Service’s guests at the luncheon. Among those accepting the invitation to attend is the the luncheon.
