Daniel L. Son, M.D. Kenneth A. Son, M.D.
Drs. Daniel and Kenneth Son are pleased to announce the opening of their office at 777 Wyoming
Avenue, Kingston for the practice of Adult and Pediatric Urology. They are the sons of Mary D. Son
and the late Angelo J. Son of Wyoming, Pa.
Dr. Daniel Son received his B.S. degree in Biology from Wilkes College, Wilkes-Barre, and his
medical degree from the University Autonoma of Guadalajara, Mexico in June of 1976. His surgical
and urological training was completed at Hahnemann University, Philadelphia.
He received awards in 1981 and 1982 at the Residents Essay Competition, presenting papers at the
Philadelphia Urologic Society.
After residency, he joined his Urologic Chief of Staff at Hahnemann University in private practice as
well as attaining the position of Senior Instructor at the University. He was responsible for Medical
Student Education and performed original research in the fields of Bladder Cancer, Laser surgery,
detection of Urinary Tract Infections and the Endoscopic Treatment of Female Urinary Incontinence.
Dr. Son is an active member of the American Medical Association, the Pennsylvania Medical
Society, Philadelphia County Medical Society and the Wilkes-Barre chapter of UNICO.
Dr. Daniel Son is married to the former Joyce Pupa of Pittston. They reside in Trucksville with their
four children, Alicia, Danny, Michael and Patrick.
Dr. Kenneth Son received his B.A. degree in Biology from Boston University in 1976 after which he
obtained his medical degree from Hahnemann University in 1980. Dr. Son completed general surgery
training at Hahnemann University and continued his training of Adult and Pediatric Urology at Ohio
State University, compléting in 1985. ’
During his residency at Ohio State University, Dr. Son co-authored a chapter which has been
published in “Primary Care Clinics of North America.” He received outstanding recognition for
research done in Pediatric Urinary Tract Infections from the Ohio Urological Society.
Drs. Daniel and Kenneth Son have been trained in the areas of Non-Surgical Kidney Stone
Removal, Vasectomy and Vasectomy-Reversals, treatment of Impotency with Penile Implant surgery,
Urodynamic Evaluations of the Bladder, Endoscopic treatment of Female Incontinence, Male Infertility
and all types of urological cancer surgery.
Their current staff appointments are at the Wilkes-Barre General and Nesbitt Memorial hospitals
and they are in the process of obtaining privileges ot Mercy and NPW hospitals.
Office appointments can be made by calling their office at 287-3300, Monday through Friday.
