Howard and Kathryn Gelsleichter,
of Little Orleans, Maryland, former
residents of Kunkle, celebrated
their 60th wedding anniversary on
June 21.
To honor this occasion, their
family held a celebration at the
Longwood Recreation Center in
Brookeville, Md., on July 7.
The couple were driven to the
Recreation Center in a 1910 Interna-
tional Harvester owned by Bob
Griner of Rockville.
Attending the function were the
families of Charles and Karen Gel-
sleichter, Charles and Thelma Hus-
band, Bill and Betty Bean, and
Harold and Juanit Gelsleichter,
which are comprised of 11 grand-
children and spouses, and 14 great-
grandchildren. Several friends and
relatives from out-of-town as well as
local also attended.
Mr. and Mrs. Gelsleichter lived in
Montgomery County from 1943 to
1971 when they retired to Little
Orleans, Md.
Mr. Gelsleichter owned Howard
Construction Co. and Southview
Builders until retirment. Mrs. Gel-
sleichter worked as a cafeteria
manager for the Montgomery
County Board of Education.
