DENMON Staff Corresponden The Piedmont Inn Restaurant and Lounge located near the intérsection of Routes 29 and 118 at Pikes Creek offers the ideal spot for family dining. ~ Its spacious diningroom with deep earth tones of brown ‘and rust, complemented by matching wall-to-wall carpeting, coupled with the friendliness of the staff add to the warm welcome from owner Dorothy Skibitsky of RD 1, Sweet Valley. Oil paintings done by a local artist hang’ on the ‘walls’ featuring many well-known landmarks‘in the area and side diningroom with brown paneling highlighted by blue wall-to-wall carpeting is just the right size for private parties such as showers, birthdays, anniversa- ries or business meetings. The Piedmont’s bar set apart from the dining area by a dark walnut divider provides a cheerful atmosphere for friends to meet for their favorite cocktail before dinner. The Piedmont offers a wide variety of selections from which to chose from appetizers, entrees and desserts. It also offers a special selection of entrees for children and for the diner, who would prefer somthing lighter than dinner, there are sandwiches made to order for the customer. Among the favorites are the cheese steak hoagies, turkey club, or the quarter pound bacon cheeseburg. Side orders of breaded cauliflower or breaded mushrooms are popular with those who return to the Piedmont time after time just as chowder lovers rave about the homemade clam chowder, a ‘“‘gour- met’s delight”.
